--- Important announcement  ---

Maranui Swimming does not have enough volunteer coaches to offer learn to swim session in 2024.

Due to this Maranui Swimming are currently unable to offer club nights.

If you or someone you know has some prior swim coaching experience and are able to volunteer an hour week on a Friday evening, please get in touch with the club committee.

Until club nights are back running again, we recommend you look into joining Hataitai Swimming Club

Try before Joining

It’s important that you and your child/children feel comfortable about their swimming club, so we encourage prospective members to come along to a Club night. You can discuss membership with one of the coaches, and your child can get in the pool to join in on the lessons.

For our begineers (learn to swim), your child must be 5 years old, at least 1.2m tall (to be able to touch the bottom), be confident in the water and are able to float as the pools minimum depth is 0.85m meaning they will most likely not be able to touch the bottom.

For your childs safety we do require that a trial membership / membership form be completed prior to your child joining in on the lessons.

We encourage your family to participate in two or three club nights prior to becoming a full member, so that you know that what we offer is a good fit. You can also contact the Club directly, if you wish.

How to Join

A membership form needs to be filled in, covering personal details, medical or other issues that the parent/caregiver believes should be shared with the Club, and a privacy statement.

The Club charges a low annual subscription per family membership (family rates only apply to members of the same immediate family).

The Club’s subscription year runs from 1st April until 31 March (our financial year). Existing members are invoiced during April each year.
